But the fact that websites are getting bigger and bigger in total file size is something I want to write about. How big is too big? My front page is about 700k, which would have been enormous just a few years ago. Now it's about average. Check this out, there's already a potential solution to the issue, a subscription-based service called Typekit: http://blog.typekit.com/2009/05/27/introducing-typekit/ Yeah, font files vary in size from 20k to 400k, and naturally I chose the smaller ones.
